Strategy rarely fails in PowerPoint.

It fails in the thousands of decisions that follow — the ones no strategy could anticipate.

Henrik Stender · June 2026

A strategy is a set of choices. The problem is that the choices get communicated as conclusions, when it's the reasoning people need.

Someone who knows the conclusion can follow it until reality deviates. Someone who knows the reasoning can make a sensible call after that.

So what most organisations lack is not communication. It's participation in the reasoning.
